About the Artist
KYOKO ISHIGAMI

Kyoko was born in Kyoto, Japan and moved to Kauai, Hawaii in 2001.
She was an English teacher as a second language for 11 years in Tokyo.
The amazing beauty of Kauai island inspired Kyoko to become an artist.
Her artistic nature is expressed through her oil paintings and ceramics.
Kyoko has studied with many master artists in the United States, Japan and Europe, and has participated in juried shows, group and solo exhibitions both in Hawaii and California. She split her time, living both in Kauai and California.
Her art is owned by collectors throughout the United States and other countries.
Kyoko's inspiration comes when she is immersed in nature, and she strives to capture its breathtaking beauty and the fleeting light with her impressionistic style as en Plein Air Painting.
She tries to interpret and express the beauty with her emotion on Canvas. Hope her paintings resonate with viewers.
